I get more excited about seeing a wax-version of a celebrity than seeing one in person. I guess it's because they're more disappointing in person. Oh yeah, that and I get to pose with the figures without having them think I'm out of my mind or think I'm a complete dork. You know, how sometimes real celebs can be caught off guard, with a bad hair day, skin day, or they just seem too real? (Yes I know they're real people but I'm hoping that their ample salaries would equate to a perma-perfect appearance when out and about) Well the wax figures always look their best for the most part.

I haven't gotten the opportunity to visit the wax museum in Hollywood yet even though I live pretty close by! I just don't want to deal with Hollywood parking ya know? However, I have gone to the one in Hong Kong and it's pretty fun. I love the photos.

So recently Kim Kardashian has gotten her own wax figure at Madame Tussaud's in New York.

So what do I have to say about her wax figure?

I LOVE the wig that they're both wearing! LOL Just kidding. (By the way the wax version is on the right.) They've got the hair down but the face is off. I felt like they tried to flatter Kim by making her features fit more idealistic human proportions but messed up... because the unusual-ness of Kim's face proportions somehow made it all work and look great together-- not so much for the mannequin.

Kim also has a more orange tan than the mannequin and warmer makeup. LOL the boobs look awful on the mannequin too! Again, I think the artists tried to idealize Kardashian's features and it backfired-- they made her boobs too perky and high and implant-y, and then they tried to slim her figure down. They also did not capture Kim Kardashian's sultry eye-makeup.

However, they have not always been that far-off with their celebrities at Tussaud's.

While I was looking for this photo of Kim's wax figure, I found a few that were way better-- especially the one for Britney Spears!!! In the photo, I had trouble determining if it was real or not!!!

OMG that one looks just like Spears!

Then I was like which one is the real doggy dogg? (Then I scrolled down and saw the wax stand and found out it was the one on the right LOL)
