computer killing you

We just released the second episode in an ongoing series on the side effects of our techy lifestyles.

I called the Institute for Addiction/Recovery today and actually talked to the person who did the assessment. I asked if she could share the criteria, and she went a step further and actually shared his responses. We talked further after, and she does feel he was "minimalizing", that he was trying to point the finger to me, and that he was only there because I asked him to go. She also said he seems to be "shut down", he seem disheveled, that its obvious he isn't taking care of himself, and he did have bad hygiene.

In the last two months so much has happened that these new blog entries are going to come as a shock. Less then 2 months after we released Jathia's Wager we're releasing the first episode of Your Computer is Killing You, an ongoing series on the side effects of our tehcy lifestyles. I'm already in pre-production on a new fiction series and will follow up this post with a string of announcements that including information on the development of a new software platform and a physical studio in LA for MoviePals. 1. What is your experience with the side effects of techie lifestyles? (This can be through your personal experience or through your patient's experience) I have personally experienced median nerve entrapment (the garbage diagnosis for this is carpal tunnel syndrome) from living a techie lifestyle, and have treated many techies who suffer from this and other repetitive strain injuries.
