Despite heavily denied rumours to the contrary by Patrick Swayze’s doctors in regard to recent rumours that the star only has a few weeks left to live the public is caught up in this story and I’m sure I speak on behalf of all women when I say how much we hope he makes a full recovery from the Pancreatic Cancer that he is currently battling. It has been reported that the dirty dancing star is now at home resting which is definitely right where he should be.
Patrick has starred in two of the most loved chick flicks of our time, Dirty Dancing and Ghost and has been an influential part of the entertainment industry for as long as I can remember. With some great medics on his side, and being a healthy active guy he should have a fighting chance to beat this devastating disease. After losing my own father to this type of cancer last year I know only too well how quickly it can take a hold of you and how hard it is to spot the signs of. My thoughts go out to Patrick and his family at this hard time and I genuinely hope he can beat this disease and carry on with his current projects. After recently appearing here in UK theatres as Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls alongside British actress Claire Sweeney we have had a taste of just how versatile he can be and hope to see him turn his hand to more projects in the not too distant future.
