Horror Movie Script COMPLETED - Original Unproduced Screenplay

I finished my first movie script aimed at commercial distribution. It’s a horror script and in it’s final form ended up being 91 pages long.

I wrote the draft 7 months ago and since then have been rewriting, rewriting, rewriting and yes rewriting. It seems I spent about 5 times longer re-writing, polishing and editing then I actually spent developing the story and cranking out the first full draft. I wonder if most other screenwriters fit into this same category.

So what’s this movie script about?

Well, I can’t release all the information on the story yet, because I’ve just started pitching it to agents and I want them to read it fresh, but I will give you what type of film it is and a very generalized version of the logline. I’m not actually worried about anyone stealing the story idea, I just don’t want a bunch of identical query or loglines making it more difficult for me to get my script read.

But here is a very general version. Note: this version is not the one I use to pitch this script, the specifics of the plot are purposely removed, so you can get an idea about what type of horror you may expect in the film, but the story for now will have to remain a mystery until I release more information sometime in the future.

VERY general logline and genre info:

Faced with the destruction of everything he knows, one man must discover where his beliefs really lie and who or what is tormenting him: is it insanity, the devil, god or something else?

(Title to be released) is a psychological and blood splattered horror script that probes dark subjects like the manipulation of faith, torture, and the motivation to kill.

For those of you awaiting more movies created by me (not just written by me), not to worry. I’m currently working on scraping enough money together to get some new equipment which I’ll be using to produce some short films. I already have written some of the drafts for short movies in different genres. I also plan on shooting another feature sometime, but it’s to early to release anymore info on that. Although I do have a 70 page draft of an ARMY drama already written and now that this horror script is finished I’ll be working on getting this one ready as well.
