There’s no doubting the fact that Mad Money has a great cast. With the female leads being Katie Holmes Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah and Ted Danson playing Diane’s husband this movie should have been an instant box office smash.
The Signal Movie Review Trailer and Analysis
May 21, 2008
I didn’t know much about the movie ‘The Signal’ when I sat down to view it but from the moment I started to watch, I was instantly hooked.
The movie is written in 3 parts (transmissions) by three different writers from three different viewpoints. The first sets the story in motion, the second brings an element of comedy and the third wraps things up with a little romance added in for good measure.
The Cellar Door Movie Review and Analysis
May 21, 2008
Well, what can I say about The Cellar Door? The truth is, I really wanted to like this movie. From the official synopsis it sounds great, see:
The girl next door, having coffee, lunch with a friend, shopping, unaware she is becoming an obsession. She has been chosen.
How I met Your Mother: Addictive Viewing!
May 11, 2008
Now bear with me, I know that in the US you guys have been watching the TV show ‘How I met Your Mother’ for ages now, but I have only just started to get into it and love it! At first I thought it was just going to be a poor man’s version of Friends but it’s actually so much more and infinitely funnier!
I’ve just finished watching series 2 and my current favourite episode to date is the ‘Swarley’ one, I’m sure you will all know what I’m talking about. Its down right hilarious to watch and some of the in-jokes are brilliant. Barney has to be my favourite character (I’m pretty sure he’s EVERYONE’S favourite character to be honest) but I had no idea who the guy was who played him until my husband pointed out to me that he was actually Neil Patrick Harris who played Doogie Howser.
Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson Engaged?
May 11, 2008
Are Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson engaged is the question I’m wondering this Sunday afternoon! I’ve just read on one of the UK press sites that Kate has been spotted wearing a pretty gigantic engagement ring and a ‘friend’ has confirmed that the two have finally got their act together and gotten engaged. I’d love to believe this is true as I think they make such a cute couple but I’m waiting for an official statement before I get too excited!
White Noise 2 : The Light Review Nathan Fillion
May 3, 2008
I love Nathan Fillion. He was amazing in Buffy the Vampire slayer as the crazy priest Caleb who ended up being the main ‘big bad’ of that season. He has been equally great in his appearance in Desperate Housewives recently and I’ve really enjoyed watching him on TV again. Sadly his talent was well and truly wasted in White Noise 2 : The Light when I watched it recently!

Our UK readers are probably aware that Fern and Philip are hosting the 2008 British Soap Awards this evening. Suspense is building as to who is going to take away the top awards and who will walk away with the prestigious ‘Best British Soap’ title.
George A. Romero’s Diary of the Dead Review
April 30, 2008
This movie is getting very mixed reviews at the moment, with people seemingly under impressed with it on a whole I thought that I would give some of my more positive thoughts on the movie and why I actually found it to be quite enjoyable.
Nim’s Island Movie Review Starring Jodie Foster and Gerard Butler
April 19, 2008
Nim’s Island is a family film packed with action and adventure starring the delectable Gerard Butler and the very talented Jodie Foster.
What surprised me initially with this movie is Jodie Fosters character, she plays an agoraphobic writer who cannot seem to leave her apartment, instead preferring to spend her time online or talking to one of her imaginary characters Alex Rover (Gerard Butler) I loved how she tackled this role and really made it her own, not afraid to just let go and be completely silly at times. It was very refreshing to see her in something far less serious than her usual roles and it worked very well.
