Jathia’s Wager Prequel – Shooting on Sept 09 2008

September 8, 2008

We’re shooting the first scene for the Open Source Science Fiction Movie Jathia’s Wager on Sept 09, 2008.  The script for this “teaser trailer” prequel is available here and it’ll be shot both on green screens and on location in Ventura, California.  After initially posting this project we’ve assembled a good beginning team that includes graphic artists, film school graduates, actors, filmmaking professionals with industry experience, as well as newcomers and movie enthusiasts.  We’re still a small group, but everyone is very excited and we’re moving to get some quality footage released as soon as possible.  Stay tuned, read more about the project here and join us. Jathia’s Wager Prequel – Short Scene to be Shot this Week

September 2, 2008

This month we’ll be shooting a very short scene that takes places before the timeline of the main Jathia’s Wager script.  It’s what you call a character study and is a scene with Jathia and his girlfriend.  We decided to rush this project and put it ahead of everything else to provide some good (and relevant) footage so collaborative teams that want to join the project have a starting place so we can better judge what they can do and how to use their skills.

The entire 2 minute scene will be shot.

1.        In a local park in Ventura, California with beautiful hills

2.       In front of a large Chroma key Greenscreen

It’s going to be a very short scene which will be set before the main Jathia’s Wager script.  It will server to further develop Jathia’s character and be a great production test to prepare the production teams in advance.  Everyone will have access to all the raw footage both on location, on the green screen.  This should give the most possible flexibility to unleash your creativity.

I’ll post the script and more details very soon.
