For everyone who’s been waiting, The full movie of Boy Who Never Slept will be released today. Thank you for your interest, more information and downloads will follow this post. The surprise I was waiting until now to reveal is that, I’m also releasing all the source files for Boy Who Never Slept and giving people permission to use them in their own derivative works. This will make this movie one of the first full length open source movies. I really hope you all enjoy my work.

Basics of the Liquid VS Fixed Website Layout Debate in Modern Website Design

For the last 10 years the question of whether to use fixed or liquid layouts when designing a website has raged on in the web design world, with major design players on both sides of the proverbial fence. Recently though, as screen resolutions have increased dramatically, fixed layouts have all but replaces liquid, but there are still come major advantages to a liquid layout if designed properly.
Preliminaries:
When I use the term “containing†elements, I’m referring to the columns or boxes that hold the text, images, and other content. Containing elements may have borders and background images, but are usually just the visual containers for the important content on the screen.
Fixed width layout:
In a fixed layout, the size of each “containing†element on the webpage is specified exactly. The page will not change when you resize your browser window. It will essentially look the same on any browser or computer.
Liquid layout
In a liquid layout, the size of the containing elements changes depending on the browser size and user preferences. The container size increases when viewed at larger screen resolutions and decreases when the browser is resized.
19 day countdown to free movie release of Boy Who Never Slept

The entire film will be released on June 30, 2006. After much thought I decided to release it on a variety of places at the same time, so it will be available from an entire host of video distribution sites, through file sharing, and right here. As promised the DVD resolution version will be available in mp2 (standard DVD format), so anyone who wants can burn it to DVD and watch the movie on their regular television. In addition I’ll probably have the files available for a nominal fee if you want a professionally printed DVD in the mail. Remember though, everything is free, that would just be to cover the printing and material cost, for those people who want a “hard” copy.

Over 175,000 views in 41 days for the Boy Who Never Slept Free Movie Trailer

The movie trailer for Boy Who Never Slept was released online just before April 30, 2006. As of June 11, 2006 , 41 days later, the trailer has been viewed over 175,000 times. That number comes directly from the various online video distribution sites like Google Video, You Tube, Veoh. Etc.
I’m extremely happy about this, given that the entire movie was shot with a budget of $200 and virtually no money was spent on advertising. That’s a lot of people, in a sort time, and with only network marketing, a few blog entries and some free press releases to credit the exposure. In this press release (http://www.pr.com/press-release/9994) I was being dreamy and optimistic when I said this movie could potentially reach as many viewers as a major theatrical release. Those words look a lot more possible now. I just have to wait and see if the internet community embraces me or not. So far things have been great and the feedback has been absolutely excellent.
Currently the movie trailer is being viewed online 6,000 times every day. That number is growing and doesn’t even take into account the thousands of downloads that could be viewed offline, and the other untraceable ways the movie trailer could spread online like with file sharing.
I have giant surprise that will be revealed on June 30, and I’m anticipating a decent amount of press when the movie is released. Thanks to everyone who watched the trailer and stay tuned, the movie coming shortly.
